What would life be in extreme conditions without those trusted sweaters? It's the reason for the collection of functional and beautiful knits from highest-quality yarn, which are perfect for winter frosts or cool summer nights!

In the author's home region of Lapland, sunlight plays a starring role in life and activities. The rhythm of the sun has a dramatic effect on surrounding nature. In the spring glow or midsummer heat, it's hard to think that in just six months entire forests and fells will be shrouded in darkness and swallowed up by a blanket of snow.

Knitting is a unique way to create some three-dimensional texture. Most of the 20 patterns for kids and adults in the book are seamless yoke sweaters. Projects range from simple patterns for beginners to advanced knits for anyone fancying a challenge. The book covers a range of knitting techniques, and instructions can also be used as a pattern dictionary.

The colour theory section delves into the way colours influence each other. Let the myriad of shades entice you and boldly infuse them into your knits!

”I'm inspired to capture a certain mood or nature moment in the language of pattern and colour. I spend a lot of time in the great outdoors with my family, and I share the experience via my YouTube channel,” Annika illustrates. Annika is an art teacher, her knit designs reflecting her knowledge of fine arts and ceramics. She is passionate about infusing her knit designs with Nordic seasonal colours and favourite elements for everyone to enjoy.
