From the author:
This fine art photography book examines the different worlds I've inhabited: the corporate and the familial, the American and the Finnish, the textual and the visual.
I started my career as a software programmer in Finland and advanced to the top echelons of international companies like Hewlett-Packard, Intel, and Mozilla, living a meaningful portion of my work life in the US. As a corporate executive, I kept a diary, documenting work matters, personal and family events, and innermost thoughts.
Fine art photography is a passion of mine. At first, I did not see a link between these two sides of my life: the corporate and the artistic. However, when I read through the pages of my old diaries, some of my recent photographs started to reveal a new perspective.
On these pages, I juxtapose a diary excerpt—an image from the past—with recent photographs captured on film.
